Have you seen these awesome photos by Quzop of grandparents and their grandchildren switching clothes? I personally love the ones, like above, where the kid actually looks cooler after the switch!

I have never shared clothes with my grandmothers, though I have gotten some amazing costume jewelry from them and from my surrogate grandmother. But my cousin wears my grandpa's old clothes and in high school, my best friend wore a pair of bell-bottoms that were my dad's from the seventies!! And if you count Goodwill, most of my clothes are hand-me-downs!

Peeking: Toys

Guys, first of all - I know we're all shocked and upset by the death of Google Reader. I am working to review some other options and share with you my pick.

Ok, now on to something more fun: pictures! I love the internet for bringing me amazing art at no price at all. I think photographers are amazing for their ability to transport viewers into another world and experience life in a new way. I love taking a peek into other people's homes and lives - definitely brings new perspective to what we see each day.

Artist Gabriele Galimberti took photos of children around the world displaying their favorite toys. The photos reveal some of the stark differences, as well as the similarities, between all children.

Isn't it amazing how familiar all these toys are? We probably each know a kid with a similar set of favorite toys. If had had to pick, mine would have been just like the little boy above - one favorite stuffed animal (though I of course, had many many others to play with too).

Photo (da) Bomb

Guys, Matt and I are getting our engagement photos taken today. It feels kind of like school picture day, but instead of the results being immortalized for over on little-used grade school yearbooks, they will LIVE FOREVER on mantels and walls all over the United States. Well, at least in 4 or 5 houses in the United States. Anyways, I want them to be good - but I've done pretty much nothing in preparation, other than washing my face twice last night (just to be safe).

I'm hoping they look like this:

Just search "Awkward engagement photos" -- it's a good (terrifying) time...

I realize this is a wedding photo, but I believe it deserves a spot in this photo reel, if not ALL photo reels.

The Pink Tutu
