Yesterday, Matt passed his PhD candidacy exam, which officially completed his Master's degree (and started a whole 'nother snowball of PhD work, but that's beside the point). In short, he has worked his butt off, persevered through crazy challenges, and basically put up with a ton of shit to get where he is today.
And, in short, I'm flippin' PROUD!
He's kind of my hero, especially when he changed into his professorial bow-tie yesterday :)
Even though I suggested this outfit as most fitting of a Master of Science...
